First, let me explain the title:
Sen-Nin: One thousand people
Kimono: Kimono (Japanese traditional garment)
Chakai: Tea ceremony

Today (May 3), a festival called "Sen-Nin Kimono Chakai" was held here in the Shiozawa area of Minami Uonuma city to commemorate the completion of Bokushi Dori (Bokushi Street).
Schedule:
Tea ceremony: 10:00-15:00
Kagami wari (opening of a sake barrel with wooden mallets): 10:30
"Tape cut" (ribbon cutting ceremony): 15:00
Taking of commemorative group photos: 15:30
今日(5月3日)、「千人着物茶会」という祭りが、牧之通りの完成を記念するため、南魚沼市の塩沢地域で行われました。
スケジュール:
茶会: 10:00-15:00
鏡割り: 10:30
