Apricots Simmered with Sugar, Part III/あんずの砂糖煮、パート3

For my third pack of apricots, I tried another method:  Put apricots in an I-Wrap bag, add sugar, and heat in a microwave oven for 3 + 2 minutes.  The resultant apricots were much more sour than those simmered in a pot.  I really liked them!
三つ目のあんずのパックでは、別の方法を試しました:あんずをアイラップに入れ、砂糖を入れ、電子レンジで3+2分加熱する、という方法です。そうしてできたあんずは、鍋で煮たあんずよりずっと酸っぱかったです。本当に美味しかったです。

I bought two more packs today, and processed them in the same way:
今日は、また2パック買って、同じ方法で処理しました。

  1. Hiroyuki, I feel I am not using even half of the possibilities of my microwave! I only reheat things there... I would never think of simmering fruit this way.

  2. Sissi: I was amazed at the difference in flavor. Obviously, less cooking time means less loss of acidity.
