Setsubun/節分

For me, the beans to throw on this day have always been soybeans. (I was born in Tokyo). But here in Niigata, peanuts in shells are much more popular. I had to go to the 100-yen shop to get those soybeans.
私にとっては、この日に撒く豆は必ず大豆でした（私は東京生まれ）。しかし、ここ新潟では、殻つきのピーナッツのほうがずっと一般的です。私は100円ショップに行って買わなければなりませんでした。

In general, having eho-maki on this day is a Kansai (Western Japan) thing, but due to commercialism, this custom has become increasingly popular in other regions as well.
一般的にこの日に恵方巻きを食べるのは関西ですが、商業主義のせいで、この習慣は他の地域でも極めて一般的になりました。
Today, I managed to take photos of the leftovers of only two of the total of six eho-maki that we had last night.
今日、昨晩食べた全部で６本の恵方巻きのうちの２本の残りをどうにか写真に撮りました。
