Mitsuba at Last!/やっと三つ葉が!

The other day, my children reported that there were some mitsuba leaves in a planter box.
先日、プランターに三つ葉の葉があると子供たちに言われました。
Mitsuba leaves near both ends of the planter box!
プランタの両側近くに三つ葉の葉が!

Got to make some donburi or something!

  1. Congratulations, Hiroyuki! I thought you haven't managed to grow them. My mistuba is almost finished, I have harvested even some grains a couple of weeks ago (there were flowers, etc.). I think I will try to grow it indoor, on a window sill (I mean close to the window, I don't have window sills ;-) )
Our Sunday oyakodons - our every Sunday lunch for I think two months now - without mitsuba will be sad (especially for me!).

  2. Sissi: But I haven't done anything for it (laugh)!

    Every Sunday lunch??? Just incredible!

  3. You must think some Europeans are really weird... We have always loved egg dishes (scrambled eggs, fried eggs, hard boiled eggs with mayonnaise, omelet etc.) for Sunday lunch, and since we both love oyakodon, we have had it every Sunday since I learnt to prepare it! (My husband often asks on Saturday if we will have oyakodon on Sunday, in case I have forgotten to buy chicken or eggs ;-)
I am very happy when we are both crazy for the same dish (although he doesn't care for mistuba, and I love it, so he gets two decorative leaves and me lots of it).
I have forgotten to say my husband insists on eating oyakodon with chopsticks (this will certainly make you laugh).

  4. Sissi: The Japanese are also weird in that we like to have eggs raw (laugh).
