Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, Part IV/大地の芸術祭、パート４

Continued from Part III.

パート３の続き。

I decided to check the restroom.  I wanted to see what the toilet looked like.

トイレをチェックすることにしました。便器がどんなのか知りたくて。

Looking at the washstand, I expected the toilet would be another intriguing artwork.

洗面台を見たら、トイレも興味深い芸術作品だろうと期待しました。

I was quite disappointed to see this ready-made product!

この既製品を見てガッカリしました！

I walked up the hill for about five minutes to see the next artwork.  You can go there by car, but I wanted to see the scenery.

次の作品を見るのに坂道を五分ほど上がりました。車でも行けますが、景色を見たかったので。

I didn't know what the next artwork was.  This shrine?  No.

次の作品が何のか分かりませんでした。この神社？違いました。

Was it this house?  No, I was wrong again.

この家？いえ、また間違えました。

The trouble I had was that everything I saw now looked like an artwork!  Even this garbage station!

困ったことに、見るものすべてが芸術作品に見えてしまいました。このごみステーションまで！ 

The next artwork came in sight.  I felt relieved.

次の芸術作品が見えて来ました。ホッとしました。

I didn't understand the Japanese words, though.

この日本語の意味が分かりませんでしたが。

The artwork was like ancient ruins or something.

この作品は古代遺跡のようでした。

I left the artwork, and headed for the next destination:  Mogura no Yakata (Soil House).

この作品を後にして、次の目的地に向かいました。もぐらの館です。
