Dan in the United States kindly sent this coffee mill to me.
Here is the core of the mill.

Looks promising!

What I don't understand is this design.
Why is this design necessary? It requires more material (plastic) and makes cleaning difficult...
One big feature is that you can hang the handle on the edge of the main unit.
Another feature is that it has a lid to prevent the coffee beans from spilling over while you are grinding.
Because of the slim body, you can hold it firmly in one hand and turn the handle with the other.
As the manual suggests, all components can be washed with water.
I have used this mill four times already since I got it. I must say it's a very good product. Thanks, Dan, for this wonderful product!

Looks really good in the photos Hiroyuki ...This + good roasted beans paired with Matsuya style brewing can make any coffee lover happy :-)..Little pleasures of this life at its best I guess :-) ...By the way I sent you an email requesting some clarification and I sent it to you via yahoo mail by mistake ..so was not sure if you got it ...Pl let me know...
Dan: Don't worry, I got your email alright.
The problem is that I don't have the best memory in the world, and I can't answer your questions off the cuff, requiring me to reread the website and watch appropriate Weekly Flavor videos again to answer your questions properly.
No worries Hiroyuki ....Thanks again for your help sir ! Please clarify when you got some free time...My issue is the more Nakagawa-san blog material I read, the more questions I get ...He really makes you think "outside the box" ...I guess I have to recommend his name to SCAA( speciality coffee association of america ) pretty soon !
Nice site you got Mr.Hiroyuki ...I am amazed to find a lot of coffee stuff on a japanese home cooking food blog..We need more of this ..So keep it coming ..I was debating what hand coffee grinder to get my boy friend when I go on hiking with him and looks like this one is promising .....May be I shall surprise him with this one for his birthday...I am sure that will make him happy :-) as he is a big coffee snob !
Anonymous: You are quite welcome!
Melissa: Thanks! Yes, this particular one is very good. I hope you give him a nice birthday present!
Mr.Hiroyuki....I just bought this grinder as a gift for my boy friend and he was really impressed ...Thanks for your suggestion and please post more on coffee and other articles on Japanese culture ...Kinda curious and may be I will visit japan one day ...I heard that Japanese people are more reserved and they are more shy to talk to people of other cultures ...Is that so ? ..I don't have any Japanese friend, so am brand new to culture except eating sushi some times :-)
Melissa: I'm glad to hear that! (By the way, Hiroyuki is my first name.)
>more reserved ... more shy...
Hmm......., probably you are right, and we tend to be insular, too.
Hiroyuki,
Insular huh(if thats true)....in this day and age ..I wonder why ...But I guess that's a personal choice one decides to make ..and I respect that ..Good Bye from Canada !
