Oyster Mushroom Fries/

I boiled about half the oyster mushrooms, put them in I-Wrap bags, and stored them in the fridge. I'm drying the other half in my room right now, except those big ones.
I was thinking of a good way to cook these big ones without cutting them, when I suddenly came up with a good idea: Deep-frying them.
The upper right ones are salmon slices for children.

I made a mistake with the first batch.
I had some "punctures". I should have deep-fried them with the caps upside down first.

I learned from my mistake, succeefully deep-frying the second batch without punctures.

Third batch:
The biggest ones.
Initially, I was planning to deep-fry the salmon slices together with these biggest ones, but they were so big that they filled the pot.

The oyster mushroom fries were so good! I had two of them. If I weren't on a diet, I could have had four!

Haha! It's so funny: my mum used to fry breaded mushrooms quite often (though shallow fry not deep-fry and it was greasier of course... I definitely prefer deep-frying if the temperature is high enough).
WHen this mushroom: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macrolepiota_procera
had a big wide flat cap, my mum would bread and fry it like cutlets. I don't know if this mushroom grows in Japan, but I still remember how good it was.
Otherwise, my aunt once gave me slices of Gian puffball (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calvatia_gigantea) which before frying looked like white brick but then they were extraordinary breaded and fried!

Sorry I meant "Giant puffball"

Sissi: We once found one parasole mushroom, and I posted about it here:

Sadly, giant puffballs are nowhere to be found around here.

Sissi: Thanks for the link.
I'm familiar with fungus 07.
My son and I found a Hericium species called yamabushi take, as I described here:
