先週、娘から、自分と兄とで、こんなアミガサタケが採れたと知らせがありました。
今週は、また、こんなキクラゲが採れたとの知らせが。
And, yesterday, I received these photos from my daughter, together with a description of each photo:
Photo 1: Chanterelles*, reconstituted
*Dried chanterelle produced in Yamanashi prefecture
Photo 2: Morelrelles and morels, cut into pieces
Photo 3: Cream pasta with no creaminess at all (made by my son)
Photo 4: Chinese soup with wood ear mushrooms (made by my daughter)
そして、昨日は、娘から次の写真が、説明付きで来ました。
１枚目、水で戻したアンズタケ＊
＊山梨県産の乾燥アンズタケ
２枚目、切ったアンズタケとアミガサタケ
３枚目、クリーム感ゼロのクリームパスタ(息子作成)
４枚目、キクラゲの中華スープ(娘作成)

These are pretty extravagant dishes your children are making! When I was in college it was mostly eating out or instant noodle. LOL.

Well, most students are like you, including my children.
I just stumbled onto your blog while looking for recipes for Kiriboshi daikon. So happy to have found it! Just looking at the tsukemono posts had me hungry!

Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you found kiriboshi daikon where you live. I have no idea where you live, though (laugh).
I like the simplicity of the Japanese dishes. These with the mushrooms look very nice. I imagine myself taking a spoon and taking the first delicious bite.

Well, I will make another post if my daughter sends me photos. Maybe she is no longer interested in doing so.
Unfortunately there are no mushrooms this year. It is to dry, not enough rain. But dried mushroom sometimes are even better. It is the season to eat pasta with Chanterelles in cream sauce but they are super expensive right now. Hope you are fine.
