Today, my wife bought these Japanese pears called Hosui.
This sticker says that the sugar content is 12% or greater.
I like Japanese pairs because of their crunchy texture.
The word mizugashi (lit. watery sweet) means fruit, but even some Japanese mistakenly think that it means a watery sweet such as mizu yokan and mizu manju. Mizugashi is usually served at the end of a kaiseki meal.

I love those pears, too! Very crunchy, juicy, and sweet!
I like Hosui and other varieties, but my absolute favorite is Niitaka! I will post some photos of it when I get some.
