Wild Kuritake and Wild Nameko/

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to get these two packs of wild mushrooms, kuritake on the left and nameko on the right, at the supermarket I frequent.

One big downside of wild mushrooms is that they must be cleaned very carefully, even if you get them from a supermarket.

I made gratin with the kuritake, and
miso soup with the nameko, together with tofu, naga negi, and wakeme seaweed.
Today, I was lucky enough to find some hatsutake at a secret spot.
I keep buying autumn fruits, niitake pears, in particular.
I love niitaka pears!

I keep receiving autumn harvests from my father, father-in-law, and relatives.

On October 9, I hung some of the astringent persimmons given from my father to dry. This time, I hung them indoors to keep them from getting moldy and keep out insects.
Today (October 25), they are almost done.
Two or three of them have gotten moldy.

I don't have any persimmons (yet) but your post inspired me to buy some Asian pears!
