First Major Harvest of the Season/

Malabar spinach:

Mulukhiyah:

I can attend to my field only once every three or four days, for half an hour to an hour only each time, so there is now weed all over the place.

First major harvest:

Mulukhiyah flowers are slightly poisonous, so I carefully removed them when picking up leaves.

I blanched them both for a few minutes, and then finely chopped the mulukhiyah leaves.

We had them both as ohitashi, as usual.

Congratulations for the harvest! I remember last year you also had mulukhiyah. I sometimes forget to water my plants on the balcony for three days, so your frequency it impressive for me.

Sissi: Thanks for saying so, but I think almost everyone would think I am a lazy farmer. In the harvest season, I have to make more frequent trips to my field.
