ラーメンは日本の国民食と言われていますが、日本の誰もがラーメンを好きなわけではありません。私自身は現在の多くのラーメンに対して嫌悪感を抱いています。私の口には塩辛過ぎたり、脂っこすぎたりするからです。最近はラーメン屋に行くことは殆どありません。今日は自分なりのラーメンを作りました。

I made thick slices of naruto.

The ramen soup is a 12:1:1 mixture of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin.
ラーメンのスープは出汁、しょう油、みりんを12:1:1で合わせたもの。

I also made vegetable stir-fry, which I served in a separate plate.

Hi Hiroyuki, I just discovered your blog from egullet. I lived in Japan for a few years as a child (now I'm in California) but I still like to cook Japanese food for my family. I really like your recipes and the pictures. They are very homey yet inspiring and full of information. Please keep writing!

I am more concerned about what I eat on a daily basis than what I eat on special occasions. But, I'm still learning Japanese cooking, and I'd like to show you some sophisticated dishes in the future!
