Sashimi and Beer/

I am approaching my 50s, and I have recently felt that my taste in food has changed considerably. I don't crave meat as much as I did when I was in my 20s or 30s, and I often crave sashimi and beer for supper these days.

A pack of sashimi, a pack of carpaccio, and a pack of boiled edamame I bought today:

Luckily, my wife got Masu no Sushi (Trout Sushi) from a relative.

Masu no Sushi is a type of oshi zushi (lit. pressed sushi), and is a specialty of Toyama.

My wife cut it into eight pieces.

Good to see your son having such a healthy interest in food. Like father like son!

Chee Fai: I was determined to buy some sashimi and beer yesterday. Besides, it was a very hot day yesterday.

Sashimi & biiru! That sounds like a good combination. I hope you enjoyed your supper!

Anonymous: Yes, a good combination. Another good combination is edamame and beer!
