I got these ume from a friend, who got plenty of them from a sake brewery here in Shiozawa.
この梅は友達から頂いたもので、その友達は、塩沢の或る酒蔵からいっぱいもらったそうです。
Umeshu is usually made with ume and "white liquor" (and rock sugar), but this particular sake brewery produces umeshu with ume and sake.
梅酒は普通、梅と「ホワイトリカー」(と氷砂糖)で作りますが、この酒蔵では梅と日本酒で梅酒を作っています。
Today, I made ume paste from some of the ume.
今日、この梅を少し使って、梅ペーストを作りました。

It should be good with yogurt.
